crostini with figs, prosciutto, and goat cheese

crostini (NB: this photo belongs to Confections of a Foodie Bride, and is posted here merely for your reference).

i’m currently in the middle of a move, with more than half of my kitchen in boxes. although it’s hard to cook without, you know, things to cook in, it’s not impossible. otherwise stated, where there’s a will, there’s a way. and believe me, after hours of wrapping your ever-expanding vintage salt and pepper shaker collection, you will find your will.

last night, i made this recipe from Confections of a Foodie Bride. and it. was. amazing. so much better than good. it was i-want-to-marry-this-recipe-and-have-all-of-its-babies good. and easy.

i will be making this again. all. the. time. (or, at least when figs are in season). this would make for a great snack, light dinner, or appetizer if you really, really like your friends.

since i added nothing (there was no need for additions! perfection!) i will just leave you with the link and my ringing endorsement.

ps- don’t neglect to add the salt at the end. i don’t like salt either. here– particularly with the sweetness of the honey and the figs– it is divine.
