Lemon, Vegetable, Avocado Pasta

For a lighter, healthier note, a nice quick pasta dinner that works for vegetarians and omnivores alike and is very amenable to making a host of variations and can easily be halved. This was inspired by a post on pinterest. Really should be a go to.
4 T fresh lemon juice (~2 lemons for me)
2 T olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
3 cloves of garlic, grated or finely, finely minced
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1 16oz box pasta (bowties were our choice this time)
2/3 cup freshly chopped basil (or could use thyme and/or rosemary or a mix of other herbs)
1-2 avocados chopped
Vegetables of choice
(we did 1 bunch of asparagus grilled on grill pan, corn from 4 ears, 1 green pepper grilled–other good options grilled red onion, peas–we forgot to add–, roasted brussel sprouts, frozen corn would work fine too and make it super quick, and anything else that sounds good to you)
1/2 cup finely shredded cheese of your choice, Parm or Pecorino Romano suggested
A little pancetta or bacon or ham or chicken, if desired (we opted for a meat-free meal for a change)
The super quick directions.
Make the sauce/dressing by shaking it up in a small container or whisking in a small bowl.
Make the pasta according to box directions (but probably cook 1-2 minutes less than it says, of course).
Do what you want for the vegetables, cook and chop as desired.
Mix the pasta, sauce, herbs, avocado and vegetables and either mix in cheese or sprinkle on top and eat eat eat!
